This is OceanView’s annual Engaging with Community webinar. \n\nZoom link to join: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87608493144\nWebinar ID: 876 0849 3144 \n\nThe Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) regularly presents All Aboard and is making this special presentation available to OceanView at Falmouth and Cumberland Crossing by OceanView residents and to members of the community at large. This webinar will answer the question “What does it take to be a good board member?” The speakers will discuss what nonprofit board service looks like\, help participants assess if board service is a good fit for their personal goals\, and guide participants toward opportunities that match individual passions and talents. \nMeet the speakers: \nJennifer Hutchins is the Executive Director of the Maine Association of Nonprofits. Prior to joining MANP\, she was Executive Director of Creative Portland and Director of Communications and External Affairs at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service. She serves on the boards of the National Council of Nonprofits\, the Maine Philanthropy Center and the USM Muskie School. She holds a master’s degree in public policy and management. \nMolly O’Connell is the Assistant Director of Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP)\, where she is proud to be part of a team working to empower people with purpose by strengthening the leadership\, voice and organizational effectiveness of Maine’s vital nonprofit community. Prior to her work at MANP\, Molly spent a decade in the youth development field\, including a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. Molly also serves on the Advisory Council of New Ventures Maine. \nThe Zoom link will be emailed to you the morning of the event\, and it will be attached to this web page for convenience. This presentation will be recorded. \nThis event is free and open to the public\, but registration is required. We offer an independent\, active lifestyle with peace of mind for the future. \nPlease join us on September 8th for walking tours of our common areas and van tours of our beautiful 80-acre campus\, along with videos and photos of a wide variety of cottages\, apartments\, and amenities. \nWe will also have one Blueberry Commons apartment and one Schoolhouse Cottage open for in-person viewing. \nEnjoy refreshments and live music! \nRegistration is not required. \nIf you are unvaccinated\, we ask that you please wear a face mask.
