Every year we celebrate the opening of our community with a big themed party and dinner. This year’s them was “Through the Looking Glass.”

Our Blueberry Commons Room was transformed into the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, where residents enjoyed drinks and appetizers, along with Peter Mezoian’s amazing banjo music. Characters from Wonderland were in attendance, including the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, the Cheshire Cat, and even Alice herself!

Residents then adjourned to the Dining Room, which had been turned into the Red Queen’s Domain! The dinner started with an Autumn Caponata Salad with Roasted Delicata Squash and Herbed Focaccia Crostini. Choice of entrees included Porcini and Rosemary Crusted Beef Tenderloin with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes and Chianti Wine Sauce; Prosciutto wrapped Chicken Breast with Goat Cheese Filling, Harvest Grapes, Cornbread Stuffing and Sauce Verjus; and Seared Sea Scallops over Five Spice Carrot Puree with Ginger Scallion Butter. The dinner concluded with Caramel Apple Trifle with Mascarpone Cream and Brown Sugar Crumble.
