October 31st not only was Halloween, but also marked OceanView’s 28th anniversary! Residents, many in costume, enjoyed a festive party with spooky decorations, appetizers and drinks. Keyboardist and singer, Bess Berg, kept things hopping with a combination of lounge and Halloween music.

A devilishly delicious dinner menu completed the night: Jack O’Lantern Soup with a web of crème fraiche; Red Dragon Gougere with fruits of “The Dark Forest” chutney; Beast Stroganoff – veal, sausage and exotic mushrooms in brandy and sour cream sauce; Hazelnut Entombed Chicken with a “coffin” of roasted garlic and butternut squash; Blood Orange Glazed Sea Scallops over risotto with a julienne of pickled beets; and the meal concluded with a Death by Chocolate dessert!
