OceanView Partners With Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce to Help Hurricane Sandy Victims

We have all seen images of the overwhelming destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey. The catastrophic effects of the storm have decimated towns and cities, and left families homeless, powerless and without basic necessities.

OceanView at Falmouth is partnering with the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce to make a difference in the areas impacted by the damage. We will be collecting donated items within our community, and Allen & Coles Moving Systems has graciously offered to collect donations, and transport the items to regions in need.

Suggested donations include: non-perishable food items, bottled water, first aid kits, coats and clothing in good condition, gloves and hats, new underwear and socks, personal hygiene products, blankets, towels, diapers, work gloves, garbage bags, bubble wrap, cleaning supplies, pet food, etc. Items such as furniture and appliances are not suggested, and opened chemicals and liquids will not be accepted.

You may drop off your donations to OceanView at Falmouth, Main Lodge, 20 Blueberry Lane, Falmouth by Thursday, November 15th or directly to Allen & Coles Moving Systems, 75 Pinetree Industrial Parkway in Portland by Friday, November 16th between the hours of 8:00am and 3:30pm or on Saturday the 17th from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Call 207-772-2811 or email chamber@portlandregion.com, with any questions.

We thank you for your generosity.
Let’s join together to make a difference.
