With the vast majority of our residents and staff having completed their Covid-19 vaccination series more than two weeks ago, our OceanView retirement community is grateful to be able to safely offer limited in-person services and amenities. We are still maintaining social distancing, mask wearing, and screening for symptoms, as advised by the CDC. Visitors are allowed if they have been fully vaccinated or able to answer “No” to all questions on our Unvaccinated Person screening questionnaire.
Our Main Dining Room has reopened at 50% seating capacity, which will accommodate all of our residents who currently participate in our Meal Plan. The Gazebo Grille Café has reopened at 50% capacity, with a redesigned service area. The Whipple Farmhouse Restaurant will be reopening next month with limited indoor and outdoor seating options.
Our new 4,000 square-foot Hager Fitness Pavilion is now allowed to accommodate 7 residents per hour for individual exercise. Group exercise is increasing to 12 residents for Floor, Chair, Strength and Balance Classes; 8 residents for T’ai Chi and Yoga. Our four-season, heated, salt water pool is open by appointment.
Other in-person activities held with limited attendance numbers include: our Library Committee, Art for Fun, Bible Fellowship, Poetry Reading Group, and Women’s Book Discussion. Plus, the fourth and final concert in our Blueberry Commons underground parking garage will feature resident musicians Sue on piano and Sally on cello!
