Chef Jeffrey Stewart brings 25 years of professional experience to OceanView’s Dining Services. Over his career he has held positions including Executive Chef, Restaurant General Manager, Culinary Specialist, and Sales Executive for National Foodservice Distributors.
During his career, Jeffrey has won several awards, most notably a 1st place finish in the 1997 Maine State Commercial Baking Championship. He was named Chef of the Year by the Portland, Maine March of Dimes for three consecutive years.
Jeffrey started cooking at the age of 14 and was a certified chef by 17. His culinary journey took him to Coastal Maine, Boston, Charleston, and Key West. He is highly influenced by traditional New England cuisine and loves the fresh, bright flavors of Central & South America. No matter what genre he is working with, he always approaches food with a fresh and creative eye.
Jeffrey resides in Yarmouth with his wife Tori, sons Jackson and Talon, and Australian Shepherd, Stella. When Jeffrey is not at OceanView, he can be found coaching youth sports, playing hockey, or looking for wilderness adventures.
