Whipple Farmhouse Reopens with Fine Neighborhood Dining
OceanView’s Dining Services department is pleased to announce that the Whipple Farmhouse will be reopening this month with some very exciting new features and upgrades!
The hours of operation are increasing to 5:00 – 8:00 PM, with no reservations necessary unless there is a party of 5 or more. The menu has been expanded with a wider selection of soups, salads, appetizers, entrées, sides and desserts. Jeff Landry, General Manager of Dining Services, says “Our cuisine will focus on seasonal availability, with some European influence. But that doesn’t mean we won’t throw in a couple of Asian or New England inspired dishes from time to time!”
Another exciting change is the addition of a beer and wine license, allowing the Whipple Farmhouse to serve a nice selection of wines and handcrafted beers, with a brand new service bar in the sunroom! A large antique table has been moved into the main dining room allowing residents to join one another at this beautiful “Community Table” with multiple parties able to sit together and perhaps get to know someone new!
Special dining events will continue to be presented throughout the year, and the historic 1756 farmhouse will still be an available venue for catered private events. Jeff says “Our goal was to create a neighborhood restaurant where residents feel welcomed and comfortable, surrounded by friends and staff they know.”
