Our Fitness Team works with your physical therapists, occupational therapists, inpatient rehab therapists, and with your cardiac rehab team to get you back to the shape you want to be! All personal training will be held in the Hager Fitness Pavilion.
Ryan Koenig, BS, NSCA-CSCS, Fitness Manager
Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Maine (Gorham, ME) in Exercise Science in 2017. In 2018, Ryan became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Functional Strength Coach. Ryan has experience working with all age groups and abilities.
Ryan has previously worked as a Strength Coach and Personal Trainer and has primarily worked with seniors since 2019. Ryan enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, hiking, and working on his own strength training. Ryan lives in Lisbon Falls with his wife, Jessica, dog, Frankie, and cat, Kitty.
Doug Michaud, MBA, ACE-CPT, Fitness Specialist
Doug earned his Bachelor’s degree from Norwich University (Northfield, VT) in Communications in 1991 and a Masters of Business Administration from Endicott College (Beverly, MA) in 2005. He has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2021 and a Certified Senior Fitness Specialist, both through the American Council on Exercise.
Doug is also certified as a Golf Fitness Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Doug has worked at the YMCA in Freeport where he trained a wide variety of members and lead the Adaptive/Parkinson’s Group exercise classes. He is active in the Falmouth community and volunteers as a member of the town’s Wellness Committee and Human Services Committee. He lives in Falmouth with his wife, Maria, daughters, Hannah and Emma, dog, Pi, and cat, Twoey.
Grace Libby, BS, NSCA-CPT, Fitness Specialist
Grace earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of New England (Biddeford, ME) in Exercise Science in 2022. She also attained a minor in Nutrition. In that same year, she became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. During her time at UNE, she worked with a variety of age groups and fitness levels.
Grace is passionate about helping clients meet their health goals and improving their overall quality of life through exercise. She enjoys exploring Maine and playing Wordle in her free time. Grace currently lives in Portland.
Hannah Damron, BS, CF1-2, Flexologist, Fitness Specialist
Hannah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Southern Maine in 2017. She started her personal training career in California working with athletes and seniors at NSFit in Chico from 2017 to 2018 before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area.
From 2018 to 2021, she found joy in inspiring others after developing a deep connection with the members of Ross Valley CrossFit in Sausalito where she earned her CF Level 1 and 2 certifications while working with a wide range of age populations and athletes.
Homesick, Hannah returned to Maine after COVID-19 and spent years developing connections within the fitness community of Portland and Scarborough. She earned her certification in Flexology in 2022.
